Alternate Species Bases

Description

Did your dog use your ArcRest as a chew toy? Did you find it in the middle of the night by stepping on it? Maybe you just want to try out something different. Get a new base (or a few) in one of our alternate species options!

– Ash features a bold, unique grain.
– Bamboo is sustainable and strong.
– Beech has a bold figure and classic look.
– Birch is beautiful with an elegant figure.
– Etimoe is absolutely gorgeous with a complex figure and interesting underlying grain. Sometimes used for the backs of acoustic guitars.
– Hickory is hard and a little (1g) heavier than the rest.
– Ipe is very similar in characteristics to Pernambuco, and the finished bases have a rustic look. It is extremely hard and dense, and is even heavier (2g) than our hickory bases.
– Madrone has a very unique appearance and beautiful color.
– Persimmon has a classic and subtle appearance.
– Sapele is another wood frequently used for guitar backs. It has a beautiful color and grain pattern.
– All-maple. This features maple veneer on the outside, but with a maple core instead of our standard.
